As noted in this Practice Principle of the VEYLDF, the relationships we develop with children and families are fundamental to our role as early childhood educators. How children’s behaviour is managed can change if organisational and group dynamics also change. Ruth will take this further and explain the importance of an approach that focuses on group dynamics rather than individual children.
Ruth will also address the following questions:
• How do we provide leadership in developing respectful relationships with children, their families and our colleagues?
• How are respectful relationships and responsive engagement reflected in organisational and group dynamics and how we plan for learning?
