Sensory Processing Disorder impacts the daily functions of children and adults including: Eating, Sleeping, Toileting, Transitions, Going out, Relationships, Playing, Learning.
This workshop will explore the seven elements of the A SECRET Framework and their application in early childhood settings:
Attention—Using Interests
Sensation—using sensory calmers, avoiding triggers
Emotion—making it fun
Culture—why do we do it this way?
Relationships—who are the best people to help?
Environment—using the resources we have
Task—matching to skill level
Participants will learn how to build a child’s sensory profile through observation and collaboration.
