Stress and Trauma in Young Children: A foundational workshop for Victorian Early Childhood sector staff which provides a framework for understanding the impact of stress and trauma in young children and the implications for practice.
This foundational workshop is designed to examine the most recent research on the impact of trauma on brain development, provide a framework for understanding the consequences of stress on children’s cognitive, social and emotional development and explore implications for practice in early childhood settings.

Applying Trauma-Informed Approaches in Early Childhood Settings: An advanced workshop for Victorian Early Childhood sector staff exploring the practical application of trauma-informed principles.
This one-day advanced workshop is open to participants who have completed the foundational ‘Stress and Trauma in Young Children’ workshop or have undertaken other similar training.
This interactive workshop will provide a framework for considering the practical applications of trauma-informed principles and approaches within the early childhood setting. This workshop will also explore the traumatic consequences of family violence for young children.
