Loose Parts provide inexpensive, creative opportunities for children’s work and play. These sustainable materials can be sourced locally then reused or recycled. Loose parts and recycled materials provide possibilities for creative thinking, working together cooperatively and developing responsibility.

WHY are these so valuable in children’s work and play?
WHEN to introduce these materials?
WHERE are these to be placed and how can they be sorted and stored?

WHAT is the adult’s role in providing the opportunities for LOOSE PARTS?

This workshop will explore practical ways to offer loose parts within an early childhood environment, and how they can be used to encourage children’s engagement and imagination. Learn about sourcing these materials.
