Early Childhood Teacher Registration required in Victoria from 30 September 2015

If you are employed or engaged in the role of an early childhood teacher (ECT) in a Victorian education and care service or children’s service, or may want to resume work as an Early Childhood Teacher in the future, you will need to be registered with The Victorian Institue of Teaching (VIT) from 30 September 2015.

Once you have registered, your name will appear on the register of teachers.

Check out the Transitional Arrangements.

If you are an educator or staff member employed in an education and care service or children’s service, and don’t hold an approved early childhood teaching qualification, you won’t be required to register with VIT.
